Tim Hortons Testing Plant-Based Egg Patty

TORONTO — Tim Hortons is testing a plant-based egg patty from San Francisco-based JUST Inc. at select locations.

JUST co-founder and CEO, Josh Tetrick shared the news on his Instagram account. The egg alternative is mung-bean based and uses turmeric and carrot for natural colour.

Breakfast sandwiches at participating locations can now be modified to include the JUST Egg Omelette for an additional cost of $0.60.

This latest plant-based offering follows Tim Hortons’ national roll out of Beyond Meat Breakfast Sausage in June and its introduction of the Beyond Burger earlier this month
