MONTREAL — Bossa, a family-run sandwicheria, will be opening at Time Out Market Montreal on February 28.

Bossa’s menu will blend homemade southern-Italian recipes that hail back three generations with Philly-style hoagies bursting with homemade ingredients. The concept launched in 2018, when mother-son duo, Teresa Vescio and Daniel Lo Manto, decided to bring their beloved homemade recipes to Verdun with the opening of their first Bossa location. By using the freshest of ingredients and offering a welcoming and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of being at “nonna’s house,” the fine Italian grocer meets ready-to-eat sandwich counter quickly became one of the most buzzed about sandwicherias in the city, with daily lines around the block.

“Since birth, food has been an integral part of my life,” says owner and chef Daniel Lo Manto. “I grew up making sauces from scratch with my nonno and mother, starting with a homemade secret tomato sauce, which you can now find in our sandwiches. Bossa has truly been a dream that has been cooking for years and that has become a reality through the support of my family and dedicated team that includes general manager, Luca De Napoli, and executive chef, Fabio Sperduti. We are beyond excited for this next chapter and to bring Bossa to Time Out Market Montreal.”

At the Market, diners can look forward to a menu filled with signature Bossa classics, as well as tasty new creations. The menu will include fan-favourite Porchetta Sandwich, which consists of layers of provolone, porchetta, caramelized onions, hot peppers, eggplant and slaw drenched in aioli. New offerings include the Classico Sandwich, made with D.O.P. mortadella with pistachio, homemade burrata, thinly sliced lemons, arugula and high-quality Sicilian olive oil.

“As a regular customer at Bossa’s Verdun location, I can unequivocally say that their sandwiches are the best of the best. We are certain that Bossa’s new location at Time Out Market will be quickly embraced by sandwich lovers across the city and we are looking forward to hosting them, adding to our curation of the city’s best culinary talent”, says Laurent Ruffier-Lanche, general manager of Time Out Market Montreal.
