OAKVILLE, Ont. — Tim Hortons has introduced an egg-white breakfast sandwich on a whole-grain English muffin, feeding the growing morning daypart.
“We talk to our guests on a regular basis to ensure our menu meets their needs,” said Donna Finelli, director of Brand Marketing for Food at Tim Hortons.
“We’re confident the new Egg White Breakfast Sandwich will be a popular addition to our morning menu, as we know many of our guests are trying to eat well on-the-go but don’st want to compromise on taste.”
The new sandwich is made with an egg-white omelette, flavoured with cheese and onion and served with hickory-smoked ham on a toasted whole-grain English muffin. It contains 240 calories, 17 grams of protein, three grams of fibre and seven grams of fat.
This offering is the latest addition to Tim Hortons healthy product line, which already includes Homestyle Oatmeal, yogurt and berries and Real Fruit Smoothies.
According to the NPD Group, Tim Hortons served more than 185-million breakfast sandwiches last year.
