TORONTO — The Canadian Golden Horseshoe culinary team is set to have some fun raising funds for next year’s trip to the Culinary Olympics in Germany. The team, helmed by Tony Fernandes of the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel, will recreate a meal from the RMS Titanic in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the ship’s launch.

On June 10, guests are invited to indulge in a 12-course meal that will mimic the luxury enjoyed by first-class passengers of the Titanic. A live string quartet and the elegance of the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel’s Algonquin Ballroom will help replicate the ambiance of the ship’s legendary dinners.

“The Titanic dinner is an excellent way to show guests what we’sre made of and to encourage them to support our team’s involvement in the biggest culinary competition in the world,” said Tony Fernandes, assistant team manager of the Canadian Golden Horseshoe Culinary Team.

The Crowne Plaza is the official headquarters of the Canadian Golden Horseshoe Culinary Team. The World Culinary Olympics, also known as IKA, takes place every four years. It will run next year from Oct. 5 to 10 in Erfurt, Germany.

Tickets are $200 per person. For more information, call (416) 675-1234 ext. 1472.
