Top Marks for Sodexo

BURLINGTON, Ont. — The Burlington, Ont.-based Sodexo Canada has done it again. For the second year in a row, the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers have honoured the contract caterers with a special designation, which recognizes employers in the Hamilton-Niagara area for creating an exceptional workplace.

“We’sre on an important journey to be the very best employer we can be to continue living our mission of making every day a better day for our employees, clients and customers,” says Sue Black, senior vice-president, Human Resources, Sodexo Canada. “We have invested heavily in educational opportunities, career pathing and development, employee benefits and mentoring programs. We’sre really pleased with our progress in these areas and the corresponding affirmation by receiving this important award.”

The editors chose Sodexo using the following criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development as well as community involvement.

According to the Top 100 Employers press release, “Sodexo was compared to other organizations and recognized in its industry as having the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.”
