Top Restaurant Complaints Revealed

YONKERS, N.Y. — Dirty utensils, grubby or ill-equipped restrooms and impolite servers are the top three restaurant complaints cited by respondents of a recent survey conducted by the Yonkers, N.Y.-based Consumer Reports National Research Center.

According to the survey, other top gripes include food or beverages served at incorrect temperatures (66 per cent); receiving the wrong order (62 per cent); feeling rushed by the server to finish a meal (61 per cent); and automatic gratuities of more than 18 per cent on the bill (50 per cent).

Nutritional labelling concerns were the least important to respondents, as 14 per cent griped about the lack of nutritional labelling, while 16 per cent were annoyed by an overabundance of nutritional information.
