VANCOUVER — Vancouver’s Toptable Group has been acquired by the city’s Aquilini Investment Group, a diversified company that owns the Vancouver Canucks and Rogers Arena among other assets.

Jack Evrensel, the founder of Toptable, will continue on at the fine-dining restaurant group, as a consultant to ensure the guest experience and operations remain unchanged.

“I’m proud of the three-decade reputation Toptable Group has established, which is built on the foundation of pursuing excellence without compromise, a generosity of spirit and a love of food and wine. I’m pleased that Toptable will continue on the same path that acknowledges these founding principles,” said Evrensel. “This is a very positive alignment that will ensure the continuity of all Toptable properties.”

Toptable was established in 1981 with the opening of Araxi (pictured) in Whistler. It has since grown to include CinCin, West, Blue Water Cafe and Thierry — all renowned culinary destinations in Vancouver.
