TORONTO — Former Drake Hotel chef, Anthony Rose, reportedly has ambitious plans to open three Toronto restaurants by 2014.

According to a story on TorontoLife.com, Rose is scouring the city for suitable locations to open three restaurants, which will be operated under his ‘Rose and Sons’ banner.

The entrepreneur has apparently been scouting the Leslieville and Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhoods. The kind of menu Rose will create for each concept remains a secret, however the online media source says, “Rose aims to open three restaurants each with its own unique flavour and atmosphere.”

Meanwhile, Rose — who was with the Drake Hotel for the last six years — told Post City Magazines, “The concepts are very simple. We want to go into a good space, do very little to it, and come up with something gorgeous.” The chef hinted he’d like to do something fresh and not “go down the path well trodden.”
