Toronto Restaurants, Food Trucks Helping Out Second Harvest

TORONTO — Second Harvest and Food Network Chef Roger Mooking will celebrate the launch of the Hero Campaign with lunch at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto on Oct. 8.

All food items will be priced from $4 to $6 with proceeds going to the Hero Workplace Fundraiser campaign — Second Harvest’s food-rescue program that secures surplus food in order to feed the city’s hungry.

Restaurants and food trucks participating include Hard Rock Café, Matty’s Seafood/Rock Lobster, Salad King, Tiny Tom Donuts, The Birchwood Kitchen and more. The Second Harvest Hero Community Lunch is free to attend and open to the general public. To learn more, visit secondharvesthero.ca.
