Toronto Vendor Spices Up Her Menu

TORONTO — As summer descends on the city, street food flourishes — and now one cart vendor is upping the ante with a creative new menu, The Toronto Star reports.

Marianne Moroney, operator of a hotdog stand outside of Mount Sinai Hospital and executive director of the Street Food Vendors Association, has gone where no local vendor has gone before, serving baked white and sweet potatoes, corned beef and prime-rib sandwiches as well as wild boar, elk and bison sausages.

“I love the opportunity to have something alternative,” Moroney told The Star. “It allows more people to come and share the food.”
