TORONTO — Winterlicious kicks off its two-week run today. The event will feature three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at 200 Toronto restaurants, as well as a Culinary Event Series, which offers unique cooking and dining experiences hosted by some of Toronto’s top restaurants and chefs.

The Winterlicious program, produced by the City of Toronto, began in 2003 as a way to boost Toronto’s restaurant industry during typically slow periods of business. To date, participating restaurants have served 5.6 million meals during the promotion and generated more than $247 million in economic activity for the local restaurant industry.
