TORONTO ― TrainCan Inc. launched its newest training program, “Emergency Readiness Training Basics for the Food Industry,” with its first workshop this week.

“Well thought out and designed emergency plans protect your customers, employees and ultimately your business. The food industry needs an in-depth training program dedicated to this very important area. I am very excited by the reception and positive feedback,” said Jim Kostuch, VP, CEO, TrainCan, Inc. in Toronto.

The program provided industry owners, managers and chefs with tools to support customized emergency planning strategies. Presented in a half-day, interactive classroom environment, participants were guided through different types of hazards, which could impact business. Participants learned how to use the model “Four Step Emergency Planning Process” to assess various hazards and develop emergency strategies for their company.

The program was jointly developed by TrainCan and Heffernan Consulting, Canada, an emergency consulting firm.

The next Emergency-Readiness-Training-Basics workshop will be held May 12. For more information, visit traincan.com.
