Trendy Poke Restaurant to Open in Toronto

TORONTO — Toronto will be getting its very first Poke restaurant, North Poke, reports BlogTO.

Poke, a growing food trend originally from the Hawaiian Islands, is traditionally tuna marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil and served over rice with garnish, vegetables and other Hawaiian-inspired ingredients. North Poke’s menu will include bowls with a base of white or brown rice, salad or zucchini, topped with tuna, salmon, octopus, crab, shrimp or tofu.

North Poke is rumored to be opening in Toronto’s Little Italy neighborhood later this summer. [Blogto.com]
