NEWTON, Mass. — Montreal’s Europea restaurant is the best fine-dining restaurant to visit in Canada, according to TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards, which listed the top 10 eateries in Canada and across the world.
The Newton, Mass.-based review website identified 353 fine-dining restaurants around the world. El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain emerged as the global winner. “The Travellers’ Choice restaurant winners have won over the TripAdvisor community with their outstanding food, service and ambiance — the perfect ingredients for a memorable fine-dining experience,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “TripAdvisor is raising a glass to these top restaurants in the world that have delighted our community and their appetites.”
In Canada, Beckta Dining & Wine in Ottawa, took second place, followed by Ag, Niagara Falls, Ont.; Scaramouche Restaurant, Toronto; Bouchons Bistro, Kelowna, B.C.; Rim Rock Cafe & Oyster Bar, Whistler, B.C.; Casa Mia Ristorante, Niagara Falls, Ont.; Lot 30 Restaurant, Charlottetown; Vij’s Restaurant, Vancouver; and Le Saint-Amour, Quebec City, Que.
