VANCOUVER — Triple O’s seventh annual KidSport Day fundraiser generated a record $62,632 to help financially underprivileged children play organized sports — thanks to guests at 37 Triple O’s restaurants throughout British Columbia.

On Oct. 21, Triple O’s donated a loonie from the sale of every combo to its local KidSport BC chapter and guests were invited to make a cash donation leading up to the big day. In addition, @TripleOs donated a dollar for every retweet with the hashtag #SoALLKidsCanPlay. Every $400 raised gives one child the opportunity to play their sport of choice — such as hockey, baseball and gymnastics — for a full year. Since its inception, the fundraiser has donated $254,282 to KidSport BC and helped more than 635 kids.

“I’m proud to say we’re helping a record number of kids play sports this year,” says White Spot Hospitality president Warren Erhart. “Donations stay in the communities where funds are raised, which is why KidSport Day is a true grassroots effort that involves every corner of the province.”
