Trump’s Suits Rebrands with New Amber Liquor Program

TORONTO — Foodies, scotch connoisseurs and chocolate lovers gathered at Trump International Hotel & Tower in Toronto for the launch of the property’s new amber liquor program, which marks a new direction for Suits, the hotel’s lounge.

“Suits will now be more focused on premium ambers such as cognac, Armagnac, bourbon, scotch, whisky and tequila,” said Inna Levitan, CEO and managing partner, Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto, of the new menu that includes Hennessy xo, Bowmore 25 and Macallan 12.

Meanwhile, David Chow, executive pastry chef, Trump International Hotel & Tower, unveiled his new chocolate menu. “Chocolate is at the core of what we do here, and we wanted to incorporate that into the amber liquor program. The best way we thought of doing that was with chocolate fondue. Everyone loves fondue and no one [else] is doing it right now,” said Chow.

The chocolate fondue menu showcases three types of chocolate: Valrhona Guanaja (70-per-cent dark chocolate), Valrhona Ivoire (white chocolate) and Valrhona Caramelia (milk chocolate). The offerings include a choice of Salty ’n’ Sweet, Classic Stock Pot, or a lighter, gluten-free fondue ($28 each).

Chocolate creations from the property’s “chocolate lab” will soon be available at the hotel’s online shop. [stockrestaurant.com].
