Van Chefs Prepare for Chowder Chowdown

VANCOUVER — As folks at The Vancouver Aquarium celebrate Ocean Wise month, 12 of Vancouver’s top chefs will compete Nov. 23 for the title of Ocean Wise Seafood Chowder Champion of 2011.

Chefs Eric Pless, Tyler Groenesteyn, Daiji Tanaka, Natasha Harris and Jennifer Dodd are some of the toques who will be battling it out. Meanwhile, Robert Clark of C restaurant, Guy Dean from Albion Fisheries and Sid Cross from The Chef’s Table Society of B.C. will comprise the judging panel.

Ocean Wise is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program created to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood.
