VANCOUVER – Manuel Ferreira is selling his popular Portuguese restaurant Senova to Roger and Nacimce Rasiah. Though the restaurant will have new owners at the helm, the name and concept will remain the same, as will the kitchen and front-of-house staff.  Ferreira will now be able to focus on his other restaurant — the famed Le Gavroche — while eyeing future projects.

Though it was a difficult decision for the restaurateur to make, Ferreira says he’s confident the restaurant will thrive. “It was my dream to open Senova and introduce fine Portuguese cuisine to Vancouver and the success of Senova attests to that. I believe the Rasiahs will continue to provide a welcoming neighbourhood venue, and I wish them all the best. To my loyal and valued customers, I say thank you but not goodbye – please come visit me downtown at Le Gavroche.”
