VANCOUVER – On Thursday, Oct. 29, the newest restaurant in Glowbal Group’s portfolio, Society, will open in the Yaletown ’hood of Vancouver. Matching soothing comfort food with contemporary, upscale decor, patrons can expect this resto/lounge to see an influx of hipsters as well as those looking for a great meal. The location also boasts a seasonal 40-seat patio.
“We’sre all searching for new experiences,” said proprietor Emad Yacoub in a press release. “The fresh, the bold, the different; When opposites come together to create unexpected new sensations, it excites us. That’s what Society is all about.”
Set against the swanky, chic design, executive chef Brandon Thordarson’s menu features his unique take on traditional dishes like tomato soup with mini grilled cheese sandwiches and Shake n’s Bake, using local ingredients. Society will be open daily: Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to midnight.
