SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Vollrath Company has received a Kitchen Innovations (KI) Award from the National Restaurant Association (NRA) for its Modular Induction Dry Well Drop-In.
The KI Awards program is judged by an independent panel of judges comprised of industry leaders and internationally recognized food-facility consultants, multi-unit executives and design experts. As an award recipient, the product will be showcased in the interactive KI Showroom at the NRA’s Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, held in May at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“We are very proud to receive the KI Award from the National Restaurant Association. It’s a real honour,” says Brian Hedlund, vice-president of Serving Systems and Components for Vollrath. “This is our third of four KI Awards that incorporate Vollrath induction technology, which is one of our key innovation areas.”
The Vollrath Modular Induction Dry Well Drop-In is available in one- to six-well formats, housed in a single drop-in module with one cord and plug. Each well contains two induction capsules, which allows for two warming zones that can operate independently or synced through the well’s control panel.
Each induction capsule can accommodate 2.5- or four-inch-deep full- or half-size pans by folding the capsule legs in or out as needed.
