TORONTO ─ The organizers of the We Care gala dinner have postponed the We Care Gala originally scheduled for May 23, 2020.
In a press release to its members, the group says “We’re uncertain whether things will blow over by the end of May. We want everyone to have a good time and not stress over this uncertainty, so we’re taking the precautionary measure to postpone this event and will look to schedule it at a later date. We’ll reach out to sponsors who have committed support about how we’ll handle their sponsorships once we’ve established a strategy. We ask that you please advise your guests of this change.”
The company is continuing with its July to December events as planned, and will assess the situation as time goes on.
