BRAMPTON, Ont. — The numbers are in and, it’s official, the 8th Annual Friends of We Care Canadian Foodservice Hockey Tournament was a success, raising more than $26,500 for disabled children.

More than 15 teams comprised of 250 amateur hockey players from the foodservice industry crammed into the Powerade Centre arena in Brampton, Ont., to see the Danone Professional team take the “A” Division Cup after their win over ConAgra’s Team Pogo. Meanwhile, Gordon Food Service took the “B” Division Cup in a shoot-out victory against Cardinal Meat Specialists.

Thanks to the support of a number of hockey players and sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor Ecolab, 132 Easter Seal children will be able to attend summer camp.
