OAKVILLE, Ont. — Wendy’s Canada has introduced BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine to its menu for a limited time, along with two other pulled-pork offerings and a trio of custom-crafted barbecue sauces.
“It’s hard to improve on traditional poutine, but a lot of Canadians will say we did when we piled on the slow-cooked, shredded barbecue pork,” said Lisa Deletroz, director of Marketing, Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada.
Available until Nov. 9, The Barbecue Pulled Pork Poutine is made with Wendy’s natural-cut fries, poutine sauce, cheese curds, hickory-smoked pulled pork, diced red onions and a choice of one of Wendy’s three custom-crafted sauces ($4.99.) Wendy’s has two other original barbecue pulled- pork offerings, The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, topped with broccoli slaw and barbecue sauce ($5.29) and the Barbecue Pulled Pork Cheeseburger, served on a brioche bun with a hamburger and broccoli slaw ($5.99).
