VANCOUVER – West Coast Fishing Club (WCFC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Courtney Hatfield in the role of Corporate Sales Director, based in the Vancouver office.
Courtney’s long standing relationship with the leading operator of luxury wilderness sport fishing experiences and their Haida Gwaii and Panama operations, positions her as the perfect choice for a role within the WCFC corporate sales team.
Courtney has been a committee member for WCFC’s acclaimed Fishing for Kids Fundraising Tournament, held every August at The Clubhouse on Langara Island, and was an integral to the group raising over $800,000 in just three days as the 2011 tournament. Courtney returns for 2012 as the Vice-President of the Executive Committee for the 2012 event, taking place from August 26-29.
“Courtney’s experience and dedication to the WCFC’s beneficiaries and causes, positions her as the perfect choice for our Corporate Sales Director,” declared Brian Grange, Vice President of the West Coast Fishing Club. “We look forward to further growth of the company in our core Vancouver market, bringing the unmatchable WCFC experience to a wider audience.”
Courtney also draws unparallel experience from her previous role as co-host of the award winning fishing show, Fishing with Shelley & Courtney and Get Out with Shelley & Courtney, with over 250 episodes broadcast across North America. Courtney also counts the Pacific Salmon Foundation as a highlight of her resume, leading the team in the role of Director of Development, Partnerships and Communications. Courtney’s already palpable passion for sport fishing and the outdoors continued to grow, resulting in this recent move, following an equally illustrious career with a global financial firm.
“I am thrilled to be working with the outstanding team at the West Coast Fishing Club,” Courtney beams. “With their dedication to supporting local causes, as well as building considerable awareness and funds for the future of BC’s salmon fisheries – in part through their acclaimed Catch & Release program – WCFC offers guests the very best and most sustainable salmon fishing experience on the coast.”
