TORONTO — The Wheat Sheaf Tavern — one of Toronto’s oldest bars — is closing for renovations on July 14, according to BlogTO.
Located at the corner of King Street West and Bathurst Street, the iconic sports bar will undergo renovation over the next two months as the owners hope to give the venue a modern feel while maintaining a rustic old-school vibe.
This is the first renovation the bar has undergone since 1995.
