TORONTO – There’s a new public consciousness sprouting up in the yards of Toronto’s public schools where students are learning about the environment, gardening and food with the inception of 11 ‘Footprint Gardens’ that yield squash, corn, lettuce, herbs and carrots (to name a few) at schools across the city.
