VANCOUVER — Old-meets-new at White Spot’s latest restaurant development, which is opening today inside a 100-year-old heritage building in Vancouver, reports Business in Vancouver.

The two-level, 8,200-sq.-ft. location will feature recipes from the chain’s newly appointed Red Seal-certified executive chef, Danny Markowicz. It will mark the 66th and largest full-service restaurant in its chain.

In other company news, White Spot’s sister brand, Triple O’s, has been expanding in Asia, thanks to a partnership with a local franchisee who will add new units in the Philippines. “We opened about a month ago in the Philippines, where our franchise partners there are the Goldilocks Group,” Warren Erhart, president and CEO of White Spot, told the newspaper. The partners will have four Triple O’s units in the Philippines within the next eight months, two of which will be franchised and two corporately owned. [biv.com]
