VANCOUVER — White Spot is making a move into the kitchens of its customers with its new book, The White Spot Cookbook, recently released in celebration of the Vancouver-based chain’s 85th anniversary.

The White Spot Cookbook is a tribute to our long-time guests and loyal staff and the countless memories we’ve made together,” said Warren Erhart, president of White Spot. “You’sll find new twists on classic menu items and contemporary dishes that may surprise you.”

Through the pages, readers can explore the restaurant’s evolution from a single drive-in location in 1928 in Vancouver, to a chain with units across B.C., Alberta and Asia. It offers classic dishes such as Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips and more modern dishes, such as Salmon, Prawn and Scallop Risotto.

The book pays homage to celebrities and local chefs — from Michael Bublé to John Bishop (who wrote a “Bishop’s Chicken Curry” recipe). It also includes White Spot executive chef Chuck Currie’s Favourite Burger.
