TORONTO — Ruthie Cummings of Toronto-based restaurant Das Gasthaus, a German eatery on the Danforth, is offering her restaurant to the winner of a raffle.
Cummings plans to sell 4,000 raffle tickets at $150 a ticket, whichwill cover costs and any outstanding debts she owes. The new owner will receive the restaurant’s kitchen, supplies and the draft beer system — no strings attached. They can continue to operate the restaurant as is, or rebrand it.
