Winners of Terroir Awards of Excellence in Hospitality Announced

TORONTO — The third-annual GE Monogram Terroir Awards of Excellence in Hospitality were announced at this week’s Terroir Symposium.

 

“Our winners once again showcase Canada’s brightest lights in terms of performance, innovation and craftsmanship, all synonymous with GE Monogram,” commented Philippe Meyersohn, GM, Marketing, GE Appliances Canada. “We’re proud to be an ingredient in their recipe for success and look forward to continuing celebrating continuing excellence in the country’s hospitality industry.”

The awards winners are:

Sal Howell, chef/owner, River Café, Calgary (Best Restaurateur in Canada)

Andrew Winfield, chef, River Café, Calgary (Outstanding Chef)

Hooked, Toronto (OceanWise Award for Advocacy in Sustainable Seafood)

Guy Rawlings, Bar Isabel, Toronto (Outstanding Service Professional)

Forbes Foods, Toronto (Outstanding Supplier)

Winners in each category were based on votes from members of the hospitality industry and judged by the Awards Committee chair and awards sponsor. Prizes included a certificate and medallion recognizing the achievement.
