TORONTO — The West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers’ Association (WIRSPA) has released a comprehensive rum guide as part of its Authentic Caribbean Rum (ACR) Marque campaign.
The Explorers’ Guide to True Rum highlights ACR brands, providing details on the country of origin, appearance and tasting notes. The guide also contains recommendations on how to serve the rums, including classic cocktails.
WIRSPA — which represents 15 independent countries that produce ACR products — intends for the ACR Marque program to act as an symbol of authenticity and quality, as well as promote the development of ACR products as a distinct sector within the beverage industry.
