Yie Ming Canada Recalls Corn

OTTAWA — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Yie Ming Canada Ltd. are warning B.C. consumers to avoid the latter’s Yu Yuan brand vacuum-packed Sweet Glutinous Corn.

The product, which is sold as a single corn cob in a plastic bag and imported from China, may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, which can lead to a life-threatening illness. The product has a manufacture date of March 19, 2010 and the UPC code is 6 922474 188425.

Yie Ming has voluntarily recalled all products. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
