OTTAWA — The ZaZaZa team is gearing up to open its third Ottawa location, holding a special weekend preview at 1079 Wellington St. W. in Hintonburg before the grand opening Monday.
“Our goal was to bring Ottawa a fresh unique thin crust, a made-daily tomato sauce with bite and toppings with real pizzazz,” said Ion Aimers, who also founded The Works burger chain in Ottawa. “The plan is to bring our real thin-crust ‘za’ to all the neighbourhoods of Ottawa.”
Offering a variety of pizzas made on dusted cornmeal, honey oat, or gluten-free crust, favourites include the Bo Derek pizza, made with pesto oil, feta cheese, garlic, tomato wheels, oregano, black olives, feta drizzle ($14.82), or the Liberty Bella, made with Alfredo sauce, cheddar, steak, green peppers, onions, mozzarella, hot peppers and bold barbecue drizzle ($16.97).
The opening weekend will raise funds for the Parkdale Food Centre, a not-for-profit organization that helps provide emergency food assistance to the members of the community.
