TORONTO — Aroma Espresso Bar opened its newest location yesterday at Toronto’s Postmedia Place.

Home to the National Post, Toronto Sun, 24 Hours Toronto and Postmedia’s head office, the more than 6,000 sq. ft. location features an eclectic Mediterranean-inspired menu and modern decor with a red, white and black palette. Postmedia’s local publications are available on multiple platforms on patrons’ devices, courtesy of free WiFi and print editions available at the café.

A photo gallery showcasing Postmedia’s photojournalists adorns the space with the photos rotated regularly. The café was designed as a meeting place and will play host to a number of public and private events, from meetings to live music performances.

“We are thrilled to welcome the newest Aroma Espresso Bar to Postmedia Place,” says Paul Godfrey, president and CEO of Postmedia. “The space offers a wonderful meeting place for people to grab a healthy meal and even bump into their favourite Postmedia reporter. We are sure it will be an inviting destination for lively conversation, wonderful food and gatherings.”

An outdoor patio is scheduled to be completed during the summer at which time the café expects to be licensed to serve alcohol. The store design was led by designer Joanne Chan, principal at SDI Interior Design and Project Coordination in cooperation with Aroma’s in-house design team.
