ROUGEMONT Que. — Claire Bara is the new executive vice-president and general manager of Marketing, Trade and Product Development for A. Lassonde Inc. In collaboration with Sylvian Mayrand, executive vice-president of Operations, Bara will oversee the development of commercialization strategy for the company’s brands, including Oasis, Rougemont, Allen’s, Fairlee and Fruit Drop.

“Claire will be an invaluable asset to our team,” says Jean Gattuso, president and Chief Operating Officer of Lassonde Industries Inc. “I’m confident she’ll be instrumental in helping us meet the challenges of a highly competitive marketplace and that the whole Lassonde group will benefit greatly from her expertise, vision and managerial skills.”

With more than 25 years of experience in business administration and marketing, Bara is a graduate of the European Business Program and also holds degrees from HEC Bordeauz and the University of Humberside in the U.K. She’s worked in strategic positions at major Canadian companies such as Sobeys, Lowe’s Canada and Molson Coors.

Bara will be succeeding Pierre L’Heureux, who is retiring in August 2019.

“Pierre played a leading role in the company’s expansion over the last few years, both in launching new products and the continuous improvement of our commercialization programs, as well as in acquiring a major market share in all juice categories across Canada,” says Gattuso. “I want to express my warm appreciation for all his years of service at A. Lassonde Inc. and to wish him every success and happiness in his future endeavours.”
