MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Baskin-Robbins has opened its 12th location in Mississauga, Ont., with franchisee Sulman Muhammad at the helm. Muhammad opened his first Baskin-Robbins shop in summer 2019, also in Mississauga.
“I have always appreciated the Baskin-Robbins brand,” says Muhammad. “But some years ago, when I went to pick up my son’s birthday cake and the shop owner gave my son a free scoop, I was blown away by their culture and service. At that moment my son turned to me and asked, ‘Dad, why don’t you own an ice-cream shop?’ It’s that innocent whisper that compelled me to contact Baskin-Robbins, and the rest is history.”
“We’re happy to see Sulman expand his presence in Mississauga, a region we both love so deeply,” says Natalie Joseph, representative for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “We’ve had a presence in Mississauga for almost 50 years and the relationship we’ve nurtured in the region is very special to us.”
With 25 years of prior experience in franchising, Muhammad plans to open another nine shops, most of which are intended for the Peel region.
