BP to Sell Heart-Shaped Pizza for Charity

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — This Valentine’s Day Boston Pizza is selling heart-shaped pizzas at its 345 locations to benefit the Boston Pizza Foundation and its charity partners, including the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Kids Help Phone and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

“This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Boston Pizza Valentine’s Day promotion,” said Cheryl Treliving, executive director of the Boston Pizza Foundation.

“Over the past two decades, our Valentine’s Day promotion has helped us raise awareness and more than $4 million to benefit many charities across Canada.”

The company expects to make more than 50,000 heart-shaped pizzas, which will be sold in individual, small and medium sizes, with a choice of classic or multigrain dough.

Guests can also donate $2 to buy a red paper heart that will be posted in the restaurant. The heart campaign ends Feb. 14.
