LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Toronto-based Pizzéria NO.900 executive chef Mirko D’Agata claimed top honours in the ‘Neapolitan Pizza’ category at the 2025 International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas for his marinara.

Every year, the world’s best pizzaioli compete in this prestigious event and this recognition confirms NO.900’s craftsmanship and commitment to delivering authentic and exceptional Neapolitan pizzas. D’Agata beat out almost 100 chefs, including Italy-based Francesco Esposito and Elio Dimambro, a Nantucket-based chef well-known for his Neapolitan pizzas. D’Agata is taking the title previously held by Vincenzo Santoro of Song’E Napule in New York City.

NO.900’s R&D chef Fiodar Huminski earned third place in the Traditional American Pizza category. This double victory marks a significant milestone for NO.900 and the global recognition of artisanal pizza from Canadian chefs.

“We’re proof that Canada has good pizza,” says Alexandre Brunet, president of NO.900 “We are proud to see our passion and expertise recognized on an international scale.”
