TORONTO — Just Falafel opens its first Canadian franchise today, giving downtown foodies another option for meals on the the fly.
Located in the downtown core, the restaurant’s location is populated with commuters and residents . “We hope to benefit from the large community that now lives downtown due to the housing boom, offering them a healthy and tasty meal that fits in well with their fast-paced lifestyles,” said Radi Annab, head of Bay Tree Foods, Just Falafel’s master franchisee for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Mark Tilley, director of Operations for Bay Tree Foods, is excited about the new partnership. “Just Falafel brings a breath of fresh air to the fast-casual segment in the Canadian market as well as the GTA,” he said.
The establishment offers customers a range of locally sourced, hand-made breakfast and lunch choices, including a variety of wraps, muffins, salads and soups. Though the menu features authentic Mediterranean street food, it offers a uniquely Canadian twist with the addition of poutine.
