McDonald’s to Hire Thousands

TORONTO — McDonald’s Canada may provide a job for up to 4,500 potential full- and part-time employees and restaurant management positions across Canada in the next few days as its second-annual National Hiring Day kicks off today, April 11.

According to Dave Murray, an operator of six locations in the Halifax area, many jobs will go to first-time workers in their teens, with 15 being the earliest age a youth can work for the company, reports the Chronicle Herald.

Murray has tips for applicants: “If you played on a team, or if you have a favourite major league team or hobby, include it on your résumé. What we want is to get kids talking about things they are interested in to see how they relate to people,” he told the Herald.
