Molson Coors Canada Brings Back Historic Pale Ale

TORONTO — In celebration of 230 years of brewing in Canada, Molson Coors Canada has reproduced the John H.R. Molson and Bros. 1908 Historic Pale Ale.
The John H.R Molson and Bros. recipe was picked out of one of 400 possible cartons from the Molson archives. “We went deep into the archives to uncover every last detail behind this historic brew,” says Keith Armstrong, brewmaster at Molson Coors Canada.

In order to ensure a consistency in the brews the density and temperature measurements needed to be recorded. The task of trying to recreate this brew has Brewmasters of Molson Coors Canada working tirelessly. “Our family is proud of our deep Canadian roots and proud to celebrate those roots by giving Canadians a taste of one of our finest brews from the early 1900s,” says Geoffrey Molson, Chairman of the Board of Molson Coors Brewing Company.

Since the John H.R. Molson and Bros. is an unfiltered beer every batch of the brew will have its own special qualities and it can be enjoyed at either cold, or warm temperatures.
The John H.R Molson and Bros. is available in 341ml and 625ml bottles, and is only available for a limited time.
