TORONTO — Henderson Brewing Company is entering Canada’s small-brewer market with its craft beer brewing facility and tap room slated to open in winter/spring 2016.
“We took considerable care in building a brand for Henderson Brewing Company that tells a uniquely Toronto beer story,” said Steve Himel, GM. “From our name, which is a nod to Toronto’s first brewer, Robert Henderson, to our monthly ‘Ides’ brew series of custom beers and packaging that draws inspiration from Toronto’s famous people, places and moments, this beer is all about our great city. It will be anchored by a beer called Henderson’s Best, which will be available year round.”
The company is using Kickstarter to roll-out a unique campaign offering rewards ranging from custom swag to beer rewards. The Kickstarter initiative runs until Dec. 31, and is also intended to raise funds for a state-of-the-art keg cleaner and filler for the new Henderson brewing facility.
Construction of the 9,000-square-foot facility began in August and will feature a retail store, tap room and event space, complete with catering kitchen and a 90-car parking lot.
