New Brunswick fishermen are welcoming news that the start of the lobster season is closer than they thought.
According to a recent CBC article, the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans has given lobster fisherman a much-welcome go-ahead to hit the seas a week early.
The Maritime Fisherman’s Union put pressure on the organization to declare an early start to fishing season due to the unseasonably mild weather.The season will now start April 26 and end June 26.
