MONTREAL — Pacini Restaurants Inc. announced a new strategic direction within the company and its franchisees that aims to open more than 200 locations across North America within 10 years, adding to the almost 30 restaurants already established in Canada.

The nearly 40-year-old Quebec-based brand is changing its identity, logo, menus and business model — a shift directly connected to the company’s development plan with hotel chains. In the past, Pacini Restaurants has partnered with Moose Hotel & Suites in Banff, Acclaim Hotel Calgary Airport, Hôtel Universel in Alma, the C Hôtel Le Navigateur in Rimouski, Auberge Gouverneur in Shawinigan and the Holiday Inn Calgary.

In the case of some Quebec hotels that switched their restaurant banner to Pacini, the move was followed by a two-per-cent increase in their room-occupation rate.

“The concrete success of our close collaboration with hotel chains gives us the momentum to target over 200 restaurant openings across North America in the next 10 years,” explains Nathalie Lehoux, president of Pacini Restaurants. “Our new logo even features a fork to better illustrate our restaurant offer in markets where we will need to build awareness.”

A new menu featuring delicious, authentic Italian dishes made with quality ingredients and zero artificial trans-fat has been introduced at restaurants in Quebec. A Quebec-wide renovation phase will be completed by 2019. An agreement has just been concluded for the opening of an all-new Pacini location on de Maisonneuve Blvd. in downtown Montreal.
