Stanley Park’s Iconic Fish House Restaurant to Relaunch

VANCOUVER — Stanley Park’s iconic Fish House restaurant will remain a seafood eatery after being shuttered in October.

Built in 1930, the structure was originally known as the Sports Pavilion. It was branded the Fish House in 1990 and gained its popularity from celebrity chef Karen Barnaby who served as executive chef between 1995 and 2012.

Previous operators, SilverBirch Hotels and Resorts, chose not to renew their lease after 25 years in business. The Vancouver Park Board voted to award a new lease, and the operators of Feast Neighbourhood Table in Vancouver won.

The menu will include local foods, although its unknown if the new operators will change the name or branding of the space.
