LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky-based Yum Brands has announced two new menu offerings at its Taco Bell brand: Biscuit Tacos and Fritos Tacos.

Taco Bell added a breakfast menu earlier this year in an effort to expand its day-part earnings. “We still have a big opportunity on getting people aware that Taco Bell is open for breakfast,” Brian Niccol, CEO, Taco Bell said in an interview with Bloomberg. “The Biscuit Taco is going to get people to rethink their morning routine.”

The Biscuit Taco (US$2.49) will feature taco-shaped biscuits filled with chicken, gravy, eggs, cheese, bacon or sausage and will roll out in more than 6,000 U.S. restaurants this week.

Meanwhile, the Fritos Taco, a Fritos taco shell stuffed with chili, will launch in test markets later this year
