MONTREAL — The second edition of Taste Mtl wrapped this week following 11 days of culinary festivities and fixed-price menus at more than 125 restaurants across the city.
“After only two editions, Taste Mtl has already carved a place for itself among Fodor‘s North America’s 15 Best Food Festivals,” said Yves Lalumière, president and CEO of Tourisme Montréal.”It not only demonstrates how excited people are for this event but also the creative force of Montreal restaurant owners who make Taste Mtl a genuine success.”
A survey of participating restaurateurs revealed that most experienced a 25-per-cent increase in the number of people visiting their establishments compared to the event’s first edition in 2012. This year, close to 100,000 people took part in the festivities.
