Tide-to-Table Seafood Restaurant Opening in Vancouver

VANCOUVER — Canada’s first vertically integrated tide-to-table oyster restaurant is set to open in downtown Vancouver in June.

The Fanny Bay Oyster Bar is owned by Washington-based Taylor Shellfish. “Because we’re vertically integrated, we control the supply of the oysters served in the bars,” says Marcelle Gonzalez, Taylor Shellfish Farms principal and Marketing manager.

Rodney’s Oyster House culinary wiz, Chris Andraza will serve as Fanny Bay’s chef.

The new 50-seat restaurant will be housed at 762 Cambie Street, close to B.C. Place, and have a shellfish market as well.
