KINGSTON, ONT. — Tim Hortons has altered its cup sizes, and will debut the change today in its Kingston and Sudbury, Ont. locations.
As a result of the change, the company will be phasing out its eight-ounce small cup, and calling its former medium — a 10-ounce serving — the new small. Also, a large Double-Double is now a medium Double-Double, and the brand is introducing a 24-ounce extra large option.Though the coffee company hasn’t revealed the catalyst behind the change, bigger cup sizes seem to be de rigueur. Starbucks announced the introduction of its 30-ounce Trenta cup earlier this year.
