TORONTO — The Board of Directors of We Care Canada have announced the appointment of Maria Collins as the new executive director, effective May 26. Collins brings a wealth of experience in driving organizational growth through employee engagement programs to fostering community relationships, as she joins during National Accessibility Awareness Week.
With more than 25 years of progressive, senior leadership experience, Collins has provided strategic guidance and oversight to global and national retailers, hospitality and not-for-profit organizations.
Previously, Collins worked for Sienna Senior Living and was formerly with Dana Hospitality as their VP of Human Resources. She has also previously served on the Board of Directors for St. John Ambulance, Toronto Chapter and has worked with the MS Society of Canada.
Collins has been a We Care volunteer for more than 30 years, where she has supported the organization from the execution of fundraising events, to mentoring children with physical disabilities, helping them to focus on their abilities. She will guide the organization toward new heights of positive impacts, growth and success.
